Check It Out

Melvin Public Library News
01/04/2007

The library is giving away free gloves to all area youngsters through age 16. The gloves are located on our Mitten Tree and children can choose their own pair. Thanks to Big R of Gibson City and to Patricia Donovan of Melvin for donating gloves for the tree. If you would like to contribute gloves drop them by the library anytime, we will be giving them away throughout the winter!

Here’s hoping the children enjoyed their holiday vacation. Some new children’s books at the library are Dinosaur World, The Real Mother Goose, Journals from the Past, The Instant Guide to Cats, How to Be Popular, Good as Gold, Bob the Builder: A Day at the Farm, Castles, Insects, Trees and How to Eat Fried Worms.

Just a reminder that the library may close early or remain closed during severe winter weather. It’s always a good idea to phone first, 388-2421, if the weather is poor. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and of course there are no late fees should this occur!
