Employment Opportunities
Temporary part-time jobs are available working with the United States Census 2010 and all the information you need to explore these employment opportunities can be found at your local library.
The Champaign Co. census office has provided us with brochures describing the positions available, such as Census Clerk, Census Taker, or Crew Leader; as well as detailed descriptions of the information you will need for the application.
The census job website is http://www.2010censusjobs/. gov and the contact numbers are 217-239-4408 or toll-free 1-866-861-2010.

Free Gloves at the Library
The Mitten Tree is up and we hope all the neighborhood children will stop by the library and pick themselves out a warm pair of gloves with Merry Christmas wishes from the library! School will soon be out for winter break and we want you to keep your hands warm as you play outside and enjoy your vacation.

With snow, sleet and ice in the forecast it's a good time to remind folks that the library may close early or remain closed during severe winter weather. Please phone first and make sure we are open, 388-2421. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and remind the public that there are no late fees charged on these days :)
