Thanks to local author James R. Shearl for donating his new book Honoring an Era: A History of Illinois Crop Improvement Association, Inc. 1973-1997. Jim served as Ford County Extension Advisor from 1974-1978 at the office here in Melvin before becoming manager of ICIA.
