New books recently added to the library's collection include Guinness World Records 2018, Enigma by Catherine Coulter, The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty, Zero Belly Breakfasts by David Zinczenko, Need to Know by Fern Michaels, The Right Time by Danielle Steel and Haunted by James Patterson.

New Highway Signs

Have you seen the new library highway signs posted on U.S. Route #54 at the edge of town pointing north on Center Street?  Thanks to the Illinois Department of Transportation these informational signs are placed on the highway at no cost to the agency and make our library easy to locate from either direction.

Pageturners

The library book discussion group, The Pageturners, meet next Monday, September 11, at 7:00 p.m. at the library and the book selection is "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult.

We have a few copies still available at the library if anyone is in need of one.  See you all Monday!

Summer Reading

The library's Summer Reading Challenge for youth ended September 2 with a total of 33 area children participating.  Congratulations to the top five readers; Tucker Pabian, Jason Stover, Landon Bodine, Aleigha Goff, and to the number one reader, Ansleigh Cornell, who personally read 91 books over the summer!  The top  five winners receive prizes for their achievements.
